Gives the interpretation as follows For Neonatal screening - Neonatal screening- 17 OHP value >12 ng/ml- s/o of CAH For Classical CAH confirmation baseline >100 ng/ml- Classical CAH – no need for ACTH stimulation <100 ng/ml- go for ACTH stimulation For classical CAH confirmation post ACTH stimulation- value - >100 ng/ml- classical CAH - 10-100 ng/ml- non classical CAH / milder forms of CAH Follow-up of a patient with CAH - 4-12 ng/ml- within target - >12 ng/ml- above target For Non-classical CAH - <2 ng/ml (200 ng/dl)- Rules out non-classical CAH - >10 ng/ml (1000 ng/dl)- Rules in non-classical CAH - 2-10 ng/ml (200-1000 ng/dl)- go for ACTH stimulated 17-OHP
